About Melissa

I have been caring for children for the last 12 years ranging from the ages of 3 months old to 12 years old. For the last two years I have worked in a daycare, taking care of 12 children a day. The ages range from 2 years old to 5 years old. A normal day for me is spent doing crafts in the morning followed by group time where the children learn their numbers, colors, shapes, and ABC's. Followed by that we have free play where they learn to socialize and play with other children. I have always worked with children and I could not imagine doing anything other then this. Prior to working in the daycare I worked for a family who has a son that is now 9 years old. I have taken care of him since he was born and I still work for them from time to time when needed. My duties include taking him to and from school and activities, homework, feeding and bathing. I also enjoy doing activities like teaching them how to bake or arts and crafts. When it's nice outside we are outside and when the weather is not that great we are inside doing something fun but educational at the same time.
