About Melissa

I am an experienced educator with a strong background in education and with tutoring students of all ages and abilities. I have taught in grades 3-5 for over 8 years, teach summer school for grades k-8 with special disabilities, as well as completed a double masters in Special Education and SEI. With 4+ years of tutoring experience, I specialize in reading fluency, writing stamina, math recall, study skills pertaining to tests, homework help, etc. I tailor lessons to meet each student's unique learning style and needs. I have worked with students from elementary school to middle school, helping them not only improve their academic performance but also build confidence and develop critical thinking skills. I am passionate about fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that students feel motivated and empowered to reach their potential.
