About Melissa

Hi there, My name's Mel! I'm 28 years old, and moved cross country from California to New Orleans in March after being a lover of this city from afar my whole life! I've been working in the film industry as a production designer / prop stylist for the last five years, but took a short break to get familiar with the city and its people. As I work on growing my creative contacts in town to hop back into freelance life- I'd love to find some child care opportunities to keep the dream alive and continue to fully support myself. I was born and raised by a single mom, so have been caring for my younger sister and the neighborhood kids from a very early age. I've babysat babies to toddlers to teens. I have my own car & am a responsible driver- so happy to help with any pickups, drop-offs or errands.
