I truly have a passion for working with people with special needs. I have worked in numerous settings with people of all ages and all different abilities. My main experience has been with autism. I worked at a school in Arlington Heights for 5 years. I currently work at a high school as a teaching assistant in the Multiple Needs program and the emotional/behavioral self contained program. I also have experience working in a preschool/daycare setting with children of all abilities. I am also Certified Nursing Assistant. During the school year I was a 1:1 TA after school for a student with autism competing on the Track and Field team. I have also been involved in the best buddies program at the high school for the past year. I absolutely love the work that I do, and helping those in need no matter what the ability is, which is why I have tried to involve myself in activities that take place outside of just the classroom.
