About Melissa

Hello! I'm Melissa! I have been working with kids for over 10 years, and each year I enjoy it more and more. I am a stay at home mom to a 1-year-old and would love to pick up a side job! I have babysat privately, homeschooled, been childcare for large groups, and more. Before we moved back to Stevensville I worked as my church's Children's Ministry director, AND I helped run The Village Playspace, which is an indoor play area. I firmly believe in letting children explore, make mistakes, adventure in the outdoors, get dirty, and develop independent thinking. Books are very important to me and are, in my opinion, a childhood staple. I love having fun and being silly with kids - it's probably what drew me to working with them in the first place! :) (I have also completed the Circle Of Security class - highly recommend!)
