About Melissa

**Update as of Sept. 2024: I am available to work with those still taking some Covid-19 precautions (masking, air filtration, etc.) who are open to conversations around pandemic safety. You can expect me to arrive smiling in a mask attempting to keep viruses at bay.** Hi! My name is Melissa and I am a social worker, writer and nature enthusiast. I am a creative problem solver, detail-oriented, patient, intentional and kind. I have a background in positive youth development working with disabled, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ kids building community and social-emotional skills. I have ample experience in cleaning work, pet care, dog walks, houseplant care, organization, yard work, volunteer farming, cooking and baking. I truly enjoy caring for people, animals, plants and the spaces in which we live. I hope to work with those who share my values of compassion for self/others/nature, open communication, and equity and social justice.
