About Melinda

Hi My name is Christy. I am interested in caring for children in my home. I am a stay at home, 34-year-old mother of 2 boys ages 3 1/2 and 4 months. I am very active with my children, doing art work, crafts, story time, baking and lots of playing outdoors. We have a wonderful fenced in yard with swing sets and lots of outdoor toys and games. I am a graduate of UNCW with a BA in Psychology in 2005 and I have over 10 years of experience working with kids. I worked in the mental health and developmental disabilities field for 10 years, and with a desire to change my career path, I decided to start caring for other children in my home. I am currently keeping another 3-year-old child and an 18-month-old in my home, full time during the week and am in the process of having my home inspected and licensed as an in home childcare center. I raise the children in a family atmosphere and have a nice daily schedule arranged for the kids. I can only have 5 children in my home, and currently I have only the 4, so I can keep 1 more child in my care and would be interested in talking to you about the care you may need.
