About Melinda

Hello, I'm Melinda, but I go by Mindy. I am a freshmen in college and currently attending SWIC in Belleville. I am planning on receiving my Associate's degree in Liberal Arts. From there, I plan to go to a university to get my Bachelor's in either Counseling or Childhood Education. I absolutely love teaching, playing, and talking with children of all ages. I believe children to be God's gift in teaching us patience and innocence in life. Kids of all ages are special in a unique way because each age group is a different stepping stone in their developmental life. I do have experience working with children. I babysit my niece and nephew often. I have also volunteered in a few missionary trips where I have traveled to Philadelphia and worked at a community park with children. Oklahoma was another place I visited, where I was a activities counselor. I have volunteered at a women's shelter at Thanksgiving, where I provided food and I watched the children. Lastly, I was a Sunday School helper. All of these experiences where a great. The children's age groups I have worked with vary from 6 months-9 years old.
