About Melinda

I'm a Masters degree level educated, (Communications), mother of four grown and independent children, grandma of two granddaughters, ages 1 and 7. My sons and grands are all local, with my artist daughter lives nearby on Tybee Island. I enjoy cooking, thrifting, walking, word puzzles, my view of Atlanta from an 18th floor apartment that I share with GA Tech students. I am a decades experienced: tutor, teacher, nanny, unschool and eclectic progressive homeschool parent, facilitator, and organizer, including volunteering and hosting teen gatherings. I am a best practices child development and learning advocate. My specialties are gentle infant sleep training, nursing mom support, one on one engagement and teaching of all ages, improving Writing, ESL support (TEFL certified), and GA Milestones prep. I am always open to learning more about how to provide best care for those in my charge.
