About Melinda

I am a semi-retired Social Worker who is seeking to supplement my income through child care. My love of children runs deep. I started babysitting when I was 13 and continued to do so until I went to college. I devoted 18 years of my life rearing my son which was a very fulfilling time in my life. Now, he is happily married and a father to my precious 5-month-old grandson. I've been fortunate to be involved in my grandson's care since his birth. This prompted me to received my certification in CPR and First Aid Training in March of 2018. Currently, I am the Director of the Unity in the Gardens Sunday School. I oversee the nursery through the teens program. The age range is from infants to 17 years old . This position requires me to have a strong knowledge base in childhood and adolescence development . It is such a great feeling knowing I am playing such a vital role in the children and youths lives.
