About Melinda

I have been around children all my life. I grew up in a house full of children. My mother was a daycare provider in our home from the time I was born. She unfortunately had to give up child care due to health reasons but she taught me that it takes a special person to care for children. Because of her, I have always had a special place in my heart for children. I started babysitting when I was 14 and I have worked with children ranging from infants to school age. I have been trained in CPR and First Aid. I love working with children because I know that children are our future and what we teach them now will affect who they become. I love to watch them grow and learn. I believe that children learn through play and discovery, when we give them opportunities to explore the world in their own way and in their own time and with a loving adult to support and guide them, they are more self confidant.
