About Melinda

I have over 10 years of experience working with the elderly. Prior to pandemic, I worked full-time in a subacute nursing home as a certified occupational therapy assistant. I left my job of 11 years to protect my grandmother who was 101. I was her primary caregiver. I'm fully vaccinated and CPR certified. I have worked with various diagnosis over the years. Alzheimer's, stroke, TBI, ALS, MS, COPD, CHF and orthopedic patients to name a few. I have educated, assisted and trained patients in Adl's including bathing/dressing, meal prep, home management , safety awareness, functional transfers, and medication management.. I have helped patients regain/improve cognitive skills, fine / gross motor skills, ROM and core strength. I believe everyone should be treated with dignity, respect and compassion while being allowed to remain as independent as possible.
