About Mel

Available full part time and full time nanny positions. 10+ years experience as a full time nanny with newborns up to teens as well as children and adults with developmental disabilities. I have worked with twins and multiple children in their homes. I love to make art, go to the library, sing, practice sign language, play the ukulele, dance, wiggle, practice yoga, garden, go for hikes, enjoy plenty of imaginative play, build forts, and point and name everything we can. I am silly and fun while the kids are being kind, and safe; when this stops we pause our fun and discuss why and how the behavior hurt themselves or others and find options to try next time. I encourage good habits, give children a regular and dependable routine, focus on emotional maturity, foster empathy and kindness, and provide consistentency. I believe that a child's job is to learn and have as much fun as they can and my job is to help them gain skills to mature into an emotionally aware person.
