I have four years of full time paid experience working with a child with disabilities. I adored her, but her mother needed a live-in. My 4-year-old son always came with me, and I would still need to be able to bring him with me and pick up/drop off at preschool. We had so much fun in our down times (when there were no therapies and doctors appointments) going to parks, zoo's, puppy stores, swimming, carnivals, and walks. I have experience with GI tubes, administering medications, diapering, bathing, feeding, and helping with getting around. I also have experience taking children to doctors and therapy appointments. I would love to stay in the field of assisting children with disabilities, as it is very rewarding and they are just such a joy to be around.
