Hello! My name is Melanie and I am a former special education teacher. I taught for four years in various schools. My students had wide ranges of ages, abilities, and backgrounds. I love what I do and I enjoy working with communities with high and low support needs. I am not afraid of behavior problems and I use love, humor, and positive reinforcement methods to meet the child's needs. I love using art, children's literature, early math skills, and play time to enrich the lives of students and meet their goals. Language development is important to me and I incorporate language into all activities.
