Hello there! My name is Melanie. I am currently living in the Chicagoland area caring for a 15-year-old boy with Angelman Syndrome. For those of you who are not aware of what it is, please feel free to do some research, it is something the world should be more aware of. Although I have cared for many children without disabilities in my day, I have discovered that I really enjoy working with people who have special needs. It definitely requires a specific understanding of how very special they are and how close of an eye one must keep on them. :) I am currently preparing to make a move to San Diego in preparation for studying medicine, so I am looking for someone to work with in that area.
