About Melanie

My name is Melanie and I would describe myself as a kind and caring person and while I may seem serious at first, I love to read and sing to kids. I am an actor by trade , so taking care of kids gives me the opportunity to share my skill set. Considering I have raised two children ( daughter, 25 and son 21), I feel confident I can provide a calm and nurturing ambiance for a newborn, but perhaps a fun and creative atmosphere for kids that are a little older. I'm open to working with the elderly as well. I started babysitting at age 12 and continued on through high school. Starting the summer after my junior year, I became a Camp Counselor at Wesley Woods for 3 consecutive summers. During that time I also worked as a Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. I'm looking for part time babysitting work, with the caveat that I do audition and book acting jobs from time to time which would some require flexibility.
