After many years in the childcare industry I finally found my calling. I had the good fortune of landing a job taking care of a quadriplegic gentleman requiring total care. I took care of daily responsibilities such as baths, feeding, cooking, errands, doctors appointments and transporting. He trained me himself on how to take proper care of him as he had already been paralyzed for 20 years. My next client was another quadriplegic gentleman. He too had his ways of doing things and I learned from him as well. I taught him a few too. (Bowel Management) I truly enjoyed being Gerald Mason's caregiver until his untimely passing in 2021. I have found my calling for sure and I hope to be someone's new caregiver/family member as I treat my clients like family. My desire is to dedicate myself to someone who needs my services.
