Hi! I'm Melanie, and caring for kids has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As the eldest of four siblings (with age gaps of 13, 7, and 2 years), I grew up helping my parents and have always loved playing with and caring for little ones, including cousins and family friends. I earned my BFA with honors from Central Saint Martins in London after two years at Parsons in NYC, and while I've interned for amazing designers like Derek and Viktor & Rolf, I've always found joy in nannying. Most recently, I cared for a sweet baby named J starting when he was just 3 months old, and while I still adore him and his family, the long commute made it tough to manage alongside launching my clothing line. I'm incredibly organized, have experience as an executive assistant, and love jumping in to help around the house. We hired Melanie to care for our son when he was 3-months-old, and we must say, she is the complete nanny package! She is loving, thoughtful, caring, and our son absolutely loved and adored her. She engaged him intellectually and was always reading books, practicing words, singing to him, and giving him all the cuddles in the world! On the holidays, she would even bring him gifts, mostly tactile books (which he loved), and the cutest basket on Easter, just to name a few. :) On her own initiative, she took him on fun outings such as the park (where he had the best set-up with a blanket filled with toys and snacks!), as well as Legoland and other fun and engaging places! She made him delicious food and was always looking into new and fun recipes that she could try for our son - his favorite was her famous French Toast where she went above and beyond by straining the egg, which she saw from a Michelin-rated restaurant recipe. This little guy was very lucky to experience all of her culinary creations! Melanie always kept us in the loop with what they were doing for the day, which meant so much to us. She constantly sent photos of their daily activities, which made me so happy because I always knew what they were doing throughout the day! She ALWAYS went the extra mile to ensure our son was well-cared for, making her an invaluable member of our family. Unfortunately, Melanie moved and the distance was too far, but we still keep in touch with her and she visits often! I could go on and on describing how amazing she is, and would be happy to answer any specific questions that you may have!
