I am a recent graduate from Butler University in Indianapolis. I graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. My last year at Butler, I worked in an elementary school and I enjoyed it so much that I am planning on continuing my education and receiving a Master's in Education with a concentration in Autism in the near future. My interest in learning about developmental disorders began when someone in my family was diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Once the heartbreak turned to hope it was so endearing to be able to be a part of the progress that was made. My interest continued to grow throughout college when I participated in a program for adults of all ages who are developmentally delayed. The courses I have taken at Butler have also contributed to my interest in caring for those who have special needs. I am always interested in learning new and innovative ways to teach and care for those with special needs, but I learn the most from the children I work with.
