I have been a caregiver for seniors for about five years now. I was a live-in caregiver for an elderly woman for about six months. My help included cleaning, cooking, driving her on errands, and taking her on outings. I also have cared for my own parents after recovering from surgeries. This included in-home care --- monitoring of medication, cleaning, driving, organizing bills, etc. In addition, I have cared for a senior with mild dementia. She needed help with bathing, walks, and pet care. I really enjoy the rewarding work of caring for seniors, and I have patience and love to give to this field. My experience working with handicapped children has motivated me to continue with elder care.
