I obtained my B. S. in Neuroscience and B. A. in Dance from the University of Maryland this past May, and I am pursuing a professional career in dance now in New York City. I bring a creative spirit to tutoring, as I understand that when learning is enjoyable, information is more easily retained. As a neuroscience graduate, I know that every child learns differently, and I am able to quickly shift teaching modalities when I can sense things are not clicking. The learning process is complete when the child can teach me, and I really aim to ensure my students know the deeper "why" behind the content rather than just strict memorization. I can teach math, science, English writing, and am also available for dance lessons. I played flute all throughout middle and high school, and I would be happy to assist with privates for beginners as well.
