About Megan

Hi! I am a mom of 3 kids, ages 9, 6, and 2. I began my career as a nanny when I was 18 and continued working professionally as a nanny in both the Detroit area and Chicago for 9 years. In 2021, my husband, kids and I moved to the Amazon jungle of Peru. We spent 3 years there working with at risk and vulnerable kids and families. I received training in Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and gained a lot of valuable experience. People would describe me as calm and patient. I practice gentle parenting, but not permissive, as we still have rules and guidelines. I almost never use screen time and really prioritize spending a lot of time outside, using nature as our school to play and learn. Additionally, I use Spanish with my own kids, so don't be surprised if your child starts to pick up some new vocabulary!
