About Megan

I have worked in a special needs/developmentally delayed preschool where I spent three hours a day as a student aid helping about six three to 5-year-olds with special needs ranging from autism to other cognitive disabilities. I have babysat for a family with five kids from the ages of four months to 12 years old for about two years where I would prepare meals, pick up around the house, put the little ones down for naps, and play with the kids the remainder of the time. I have also babysat for a 5-year-old little boy with Autism. I recently worked for a 15-year-old boy with low functioning Autism in the Lansing area where I was employed for two and a half years. This job included, administering medication up to three times a day, picking up the house, helping out with laundry, assisting the child in chores, sensory therapy, driving him to different therapy sessions and documenting daily activities and behaviors that I witnessed. I also watched the boy's 11-year-old brother who was home schooled and was treated for emotional impairments. I worked all day shifts and even spent multiple overnights with the boys when their parents were out of town.
