About Megan

Hi, I'm Megan! I currently work part-time with WSSRA, which is a recreation association for youth and adults with disabilities. I love working with kids, especially those that may need a little extra assistance. Some of my hobbies/interests include scrapbooking, photography, nature, and singing/dancing for my cat (she's not impressed). I think it's very important for kids be taught life skills, and to work towards becoming independent. I try to encourage the kids to assist with things like cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry. I also feel strongly about getting kids outside when it's nice out, even if we're doing an activity that could be done inside. If possible, I try to limit screen time and encourage other entertainment like crafts, toys, and exercise. I like to do science experiments and other learning activities with kids. Sometimes learning can be boring, so I like to make it fun! I am quite flexible with my hours and pay, so please don't hesitate to reach out!
