About Meara

Thank you for considering me for the tutoring needs of you/your child. I have a B. S. from the University of Minnesota and spent the majority of my time outside of the classroom tutoring, mentoring, and assisting with student instruction. Like many young people, I felt the impact of a switch to online education firsthand. Now that it is safe to collaborate and learn in person, I am looking to assist students again. I start every tutoring session by listening intently to the needs and goals of the student. Each session is about accomplishing what is most important to the student, and completing the work in a fun and focused manner. I want to clarify that I don't believe that test scores define the worth, intelligence, or potential of a student.
