About Meaghan

Hello! My name is Quinn. I'm a native New Yorker with over 10 years of experience working with kids. I currently work as a substitute teacher at 3 schools. Previously, I worked as a Kindergarten teacher before ultimately deciding that, though I love working with kids, I did not want to pursue a career as a classroom teacher. I am most experienced working with pre through middle school, but am comfortable working with older, as well! I have extensive experience working with kids with different learning disabilities/differences (ADHD, autism, dyslexia) in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I love getting to figure out how each kid's brain works and how to best reach them as to keep them actively engaged. My main goal is for kids to realize that learning can be both fun and productive at the same time - I want to make tutoring sessions an after school activity that doesn't have to be met with reluctance or dread.
