About Mckenzie

Hi! My name is McKenzie but I normally go by Mack. I moved to Milwaukee in the beginning of June and I am excited to become a part of the community here :) I am going to be a Montessori teacher with first, second and third graders this fall. I grew up in Lodi, WI and had experience babysitting children there throughout high school. I graduated from La Crosse with a degree in early childhood education and had four years of urban, suburban, and rural classroom experience with children ages 3-10. Outside of my schooling experience, I was a camp counselor for three consecutive summers on a local farm with kids ages 5-11. There we implemented Waldorf teaching methods and emphasized nature education. Our program allowed kids to explore the landscape, build play structures, engage in sustainable eating and create various art projects outside. I am passionate about guiding children in expressing themselves creatively, embracing individuality and slowing down to enjoy everyday small moments!
