I think McKenna has the ability to be a great babysitter for a family, but unfortunately it did not work out for mine. Throughout our conversations on care.com and text she was very responsive and friendly. She agreed to meet our current babysitter/driver for our special needs daughter to meet her and learn more about what the job entails. She was early for that appointment, very respectful and asked a lot of questions about our daughter. I had high hopes for her as our driver had great things to say about her and thought she would be a great fit. We scheduled to meet a few days later so I could ask some formal interview questions, and get to know her and allow her to learn more about our daughter. She never showed up to the interview, did not respond to text or give a reason why ( she did confirm she was coming less than 48hr prior). In addition I paid $70 for a background check I will not be reimbursed for, as I had all intention of hiring her.
