About Mckenna

I began baby-sitting at the age of 13 and went into full time Nannying when I was 20. I've worked with children's' theatre and bible schools. I have truly enjoyed learning from kids for the last 12 years and I hope to have many more. My degree in Theatre gave me the skills I need to work in a fast paced environment, entertain on the spot, and handle multiple kids at once. My time as a Personal Care Assistant gave me the confidence to handle high stress and critical situations. My responsibilities have ranged from inside entertainment; movies, board games, video games, reading, lego's, etc. to outdoor activities; pool, playgrounds, sports, bike riding, scooter riding, exploring, etc. I've taken children to doctor's appointments and have experience with small children and their first shots. I have experience with kids who have an interest in music, outdoor activities, and academics. I've volunteered with Kid's Day Festivals and Children's Theatre.
