I am currently pursuing courses to become a certified home health aide. , I provided care for an individual, who has cerebral palsy and functions at a toddler developmental level. My responsibilities include assisting him each day. My duties encompass engaging him in various activities, including playing games, accompanying him to medical appointments, and preparing his meals, which include pureed foods. Due to a choking risk, He requires eye-to-eye feeding and drinks that have been thickened using Thick-It. I also assist with brushing his teeth, dressing him, and managing personal care tasks such as bathing and changing his diapers. Additionally, I provide emotional support and assist him with mobility using a gait belt and walker.
