After graduating from high school in 2018, I ventured to Burlington, VT, for a year of university before taking a hiatus from college. During this year, I immersed myself in teaching English at a community resource center in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As the head volunteer, I crafted daily lesson plans and engaging activities tailored to each student's needs. After teaching in Buenos Aires, I transferred to HWS. At HWS I was involved in the Teaching Education Program, a program for soon-to-be teachers to gain the strengths and resources needed to become the best possible future teachers. I graduated in May with a double major in Education and Women's Studies, a minor in Child Advocacy, and a teaching qualification for special education and general education for K-6. For the past 5 summers I have been a nanny in the greater Portland area! One of my favorite things is being able to see the development in a child that you have helped support, encourage, let grow, and teach.

Mazie looked after our 6m old boy and our 5.5 yo daughter for a week while we were in Portland, Maine. She was excellent with the kids and a pleasure to have around the house. Highly recommend!!
