Hi! My name is Mayra and I'm from Perú. I am currently an independent Interior Designer. I've been working with kids since I was 18 years old and I loved it. I started by watching my younger sister, brother and cousins here in LA, San Diego and back in Perú. When I was living in San Diego I began babysitting for kids from my neighborhood and then I started babysitting here in LA as a part-time job while I was doing my major in Visual Communications at FIDM. Over the last few years, I've worked primarily with infants and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. I mostly enjoy taking the kids outside, but if not I love to create dynamics activities that kids will definitely enjoy. I really like to do every day a different day, because I believe that when we are kids we are in the perfect age to enjoy every single moment and learn something different with fun and enthusiasm. In my free time I play beach volleyball.

We were looking for someone to watch our son (10 months) last minute when he was sent home from day care. Mayra responded to our request very quickly and showed up the next morning to watch him. She was on time, kind, and clarified any questions she had with our instructions. She did a great job taking care of our baby during the day and even helped watch our older son who also came home from school sick. We would hire Mayra again in a heartbeat! Anyone would be lucky to have her as their nanny.
