About Maya

I have several years experience in caring for my pet dog, Holly, and several years experience in child care, as I volunteer as an arts and crafts leader at a local church summer daycamp. I'd describe my personality as patient, logical, and personable. I like working with animals because each one is so unique! Every animal has its own adorable personality and quirks that are a pleasure to learn as a bond is formed with them. I believe all animals deserve a great life and should be treated with the most love and care! I'm looking for a job that is gives me experience in my future career of education. I plan on becoming a science teacher, so getting to work with kids of all ages will help me get some experience. If the job is with pets, I'm looking for a job that allows for interaction time with animals. I understand some pets are shy, and may not want interactions, and in that case, I'm perfectly content to respect their personal space and give them the care they need.
