About Maya

All my life I have known I've wanted to work with kids! As an aspiring pediatric speech language pathologist, I currently work in a pediatric therapy clinic where occupational, physical, and speech therapy services are offered. Working in this type of setting has allowed me to build my confidence and skill in caring for children with a wide array of needs. However, I am moving to the city of Chicago soon and would like to continue working with kids while taking classes as well. Working here additionally has made me an expert at arts and crafts, creating fun games etc. for children to enjoy. I am CPR certified as well! I adore animals and have a dog of my own, so pets are not an issue at all for me and would love to spend time of a household that has one (would be a bonus!). I'd describe my personality as patient, kind, and nurturing.
