About Maya

Hi, I am a graduate student at Winona State University pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Play Therapy. I have a BA in educational studies and psychology from the College of Saint Scholastica. I was a college tennis player and am very active in the outdoors! For 3 summers, I held a lead intern position working with kids from ages 0-15 in a summer camp setting and loved every second of it. I was a nanny to 3 kiddos aged 7-13, and a long-term babysitter for a family of 5 with kids 6 months- 5 years old. I have experience working with individuals with dementia and physical and cognitive disabilities, and I have extensive training. I have had training in first aid and CPR. I also have a car with many safety features and have no problem driving kids to and from activities if needed. I am passionate about helping kids reach their fullest potential and creating developmentally appropriate stimulating activities. Let me know if you have any questions!
