Hey everyone! My name is Maya, and I recently graduated from Western with a behavioral neuroscience degree. I have hopes of becoming a pediatric PA and I am waiting to hear back from schools on that front. My past few jobs have been working in healthcare, and I'm starting to experience some burnout in the field so I would love to take a break and work as a nanny again. I have worked from Care. com. before and gotten connected to some amazing families. I love to play outside with kids, rain or shine, and get involved in all sorts of activities (while providing safe boundaries of course). I have experience working with children 2 months old all the way up to 18 years. I also volunteer with Skookum kids, a foster support group in the Bellingham area, which means I have annual continuing education requirements to meet with them. Maya is fantastic! She's unflappable, energetic, and has a great sense of humor. She's a delight to work with and I've never heard the kids laugh so much while in someone else's care. Her confidence serves her well for the situation, even with my fiery five year old (who I'm pretty sure is a preteen trapped in the body of a kindergartner). I'm definitely going to work with her again!
