Hello! My name is Maya and I am a 22-year-old military wife and soon-to-be mom originally from Texas. I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Texas State University and have completed 1 year of my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from Walden University. I am taking a break from grad school to nanny and eventually teach, as I am expecting my first baby this January. During my time in undergrad, I worked as the primary caregiver for a young woman with Autism. I also worked as a substitute teacher during the 22-23 school year. I worked in short and long-term positions with all grades but spent the most time with 2nd and 11th graders. I enjoy outdoor activities like swimming and walking. I also enjoy visiting the aquarium and creative activities like dancing and coloring! I am hoping to find a position caring for both my child and another infant, starting in spring.
