About Maya

Born and raised in Maine, I began working with children at 15 after completing a babysitting course offered at my school. I later pursued a career in cosmetology while also becoming a certified Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) in the state of Maine. For the past three years, I have worked with a nonprofit organization, supporting children with diverse needs. Currently, I nanny full-time for a 3-year-old boy and provide weekly support for an 11-year-old girl, both on the autism spectrum. Collaborating closely with their families, I help create meaningful goals and lifelong skills to support their development. My experience has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, individualized care while fostering a positive and structured environment.
