Hello! My name is Maya and I have been in Portland for almost 4 years now. I moved from Austin, Texas and live here with my dog and partner. I have been working in childcare for a little over a year with a ton of previous babysitting experience. I currently and up to date with my CPR and childcare trainings. I currently work for a magical little infant/toddler community, my current cohort has 6 kiddos and going up to 8 in the fall. All ranging from 9 months- 15 months. I started with all of them at 6 months old and will continue to grow and teach them into toddlerhood until they graduate and move on to preschool! The program I work for is RIE centered learning which I model in my caregiving as well, some of our favorite resources is Janet Lansbury. I'm looking for some extra work on the side and I love connecting with children and families to facilitate learning through play. I have my own reliable transportation and hope to hear from you soon!
