About Maya

Hello there! My name is Maya. I am a 23-year-old early childhood education assistant teacher. I work with children aged 6 months to 6 years old. My daily goal is to ensure I improve the quality of a person's (or little person's) day, whether it be something big or small. Making an impact is very important to me, and it makes me genuinely happy to know that the positivity I've spread that day has reached as far as humanly possible. I'd describe my personality as bubbly, determined, and compassionate! I started working with kids when I was 14, as a private babysitter for family friends. In April of 2023 I took a step up in my career and started working as an early childhood education assistant teacher. In my spare time, I like to hike, explore new places, spend time with my family, and create art of all kinds. My skills include meal preparation, preparing age-appropriate projects/lessons, and most importantly maintaining the safety of all the children in my care.
