About Maya

As I begin my academic journey at Purdue University through their online program, I'm eager to combine my passion for childcare with my studies by becoming a nanny. My experiences volunteering at Theraplay, interning at an autism center, working with children in high school, and nannying for 1-2 months have all shaped my understanding of child development and fueled my desire to positively impact young lives. Nannying for a brief time also allowed me to apply my knowledge in a practical setting, providing personalized care and support to children while nurturing their curiosity and growth. These varied experiences have prepared me to contribute positively to children's lives as I pursue my degree at Purdue. The flexibility of online education allows me to balance both my academic and professional aspirations, and I look forward to continuing to support and inspire the next generation.
