We interviewed Max for a nanny position on Saturday 11/16. He was supposed to get back to us with references and to confirm a trial day tomorrow (11/22). He stopped responding on Monday 11/18. He mentioned that he works four jobs so I thought maybe he had money troubles and his phone had been shut off. Turns out he blocked me because when my husband just called him he answered and hung up when he figured out who was calling. A "no thank you, I'm not interested" would have been fine but we wasted a lot of time waiting to hear back from him. I'm not sure if he's just extremely unreliable or if he didn't have references, but the ghosting and blocking is very unprofessional. It's a shame because he seemed good with our daughter during the interview.
