About Maureen

I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and caring. I like working with kids because they are wonderful to be around. Kids approach the world with curiosity, and I really love watching them learn. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help out parents who just need the extra hand or some time off. I started working with kids when I was 14 and was babysitting full time in the summer, and various weekends and breaks. For the last year, I have been watching my nieces, 2 and 5, after school and the evenings. In my spare time, I like to read books, play games, watch movies, swim, and do some artsy crafts. One thing you should know about me is I believe in supporting the parents 100%. When I watch your kids, they are still YOUR kids, and if you have rules about TV time or snacks, I will enforce them as well My skills include listening, patience, and calmness. Helping them reset by listening, keeping my cool, and giving them the space to work it out is really important to me
