About Maura

Hi there! My name is Maura, and I am a registered nurse based in Philadelphia. I have recently decided to take a break from traditional nursing and would love to find a nanny position in the meantime while I figure out my next steps. I am considering returning to school to pursue midwifery or a nurse practitioner degree. I have six years of clinical nursing experience, including two years on Labor & Delivery/Postpartum, giving me extensive experience with newborns and infants. Most recently, I nannied for a wonderful family for a year, caring for their 1-year-old and 3-year-old. Additionally, I worked as a school nurse in an elementary special education classroom, where I provided compassionate care to children with diverse needs. I am passionate about quality childcare and creating a safe, nurturing environment. My RN background equips me with strong child development and safety skills, making me a great candidate.
