About Maura

Hello! Aging can be a rough and often frightening experience both for the senior and their family. I've been providing care for 5 senior family members for nearly a decade. I understand Alzheimer's and it's confusing moments, Parkinson's and it's physical challenges, and general aging and overall declining capabilities. I believe we all deserve the right to age gracefully with the support of someone who doesn't see us as less than, but rather simply a human being needing a little something extra. In addition to supporting my own family I served as a "personal assistant" for nearly 2 years to a local couple who were both struggling to live independently with Alzheimer's. We sadly lost one to cancer and safely relocated the other to live near her family. Given this loss and the recent loss of my mother, who also had Alzheimer's, I now have some available time to help support another person or couple. I hope to hear from you soon!
