My golden retriever died before my stem cell transplant and I have wanted to get another dog but haven't pulled the trigger. I love walking and think this would be a good opportunity to get exercise as a job. I enjoy the energy and humility of pets. They seem to all desire friendship except for certain cats. I don't have specialized skills but could learn how to handle any special needs.
