I'm a father of 3, married to a police officer, and I have 15 years of stay-at-home-parent experience caring for my own children (15, 13, & 7 years old). Before I was a dad I began babysitting for my fellow Coasties while I was on active duty. I was a medic, so i'm trained in emergency medicine. I also volunteer as a camp counselor each summer at a sleep-away camp. I am comfortable with caring for newborns to teens. Clear communication is key, so I provide regular updates to parents about their children, either verbally at pickup or via text or phone call, depending on your preference. I'm calm, patient, and offer a friendly environment for the children in my care. When it comes to enforcing household rules, I follow the parents' lead. But if it's up to me, I keep it fun within reason. I am comfortable doing household chores, handling snack/meal times, playing with family pets (we have an English Bulldog) I drive a safe, kid friendly SUV, if driving is needed.
