About Matthew

Hi! I am a current second-semester nursing student at California Baptist University. My passion for implementing positive community change led me to serve as a supplemental instruction leader for physiology at California State University Chico, guiding students through complex coursework. I have also dedicated myself to mentoring marginalized high school students and connecting them with resources for higher education. I value my experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Pacifica Nursing and Rehab for enriching my understanding of healthcare practices and patient care, reinforcing my commitment to excellence in nursing. These roles have shaped my dedication to academic leadership, healthcare advocacy, and community empowerment. With my prior experience, I hope to guide students in developing essential study skills, including time management, note-taking techniques, and critical thinking. These skills empower students to become independent learners and excel academically.
