About Mary

Hi! My name is Mary and I am a sophomore at Penn State University studying Biobehavioral Health and home for the summer! I've taken many college level classes about child development and have learned a lot about childcare. I've also had loads of hands on experience, as I am the oldest of 3 girls and one of the oldest of 12 cousins that live in the area. I grew up around babies and small children and have been helping my parents and aunts and uncles care for their children ever since I can remember. I've also cared for many neighbors outside of my family as well. I have experience with children ages 0-14 as well as a variety of pets. I have a Labrador retriever and cat of my own, so I am very comfortable with large and small animals. I also have experience caring for sick children and am very good at staying calm and reassuring in those situations. I am upbeat, energetic, and positive and love to be outside. I am also very creative and love to do arts and crafts with children.
